It helps us find the root causes of our weight loss struggles. By figuring out what's really going on, we can find better ways to lose weight and keep it off.

What is the '5 whys' technique?

The 5 Whys technique is a problem-solving method that involves asking "why" repeatedly to uncover the underlying causes of a specific issue or challenge. By delving deep into the root causes, it helps identify the real reasons behind a problem, rather than merely addressing the symptoms. The technique aims to reveal the chain of causes and effects, to develop effective solutions that target the root issues and prevent similar problems from recurring in the future. Let's use it for weight loss by asking the following 5 questions. It would be good to journal on each of these to find your own reasons behind your weight loss struggles.

1- Why am I struggling to lose weight?

We need to dig deeper and question the underlying factors that may be hindering weight loss progress. Is it due to a lack of exercise? Poor diet choices? Emotional eating?
